To Cubans salsa is about having fun and that shows also in Roly’s teaching. Everybody goes home from Roly’s lessons with a big smile on their face – come and experience it yourself!
• We will start from scratch, so don’t worry, you will make it!
• You don’t need a partner of your own.
• Voluntary change of partners, which makes learning easy and smooth. If you wish, you can of course dance only with your partner.

CUBAN SON FOR COUPLES intensive course 13.00-16.00.

Son is the “mother” of salsa. This Cuban dance and music genre was born in Eastern Cuba in the late 19th century. It reached Havana in the early 20th century and soon took over the entire island.
Son is more easygoing than salsa and there are less turns and figures than in salsa. Other major differences are the rhythm of the steps and body movements.
In this course we will practice the basics of son steps, rhythm, simple figures, leading and following. Please join us for a romantic adventure into the wonderful world of son!

RUEDA CON ROLY
intensive course 13.00 to 16.00 if you are new to rueda or want to repeat the basics, for improvers from 14.30 to 16.00

Rueda de casino is couple salsa being danced in a circle. The teacher is leading the circle by giving orders. Every figure has a name of its own. Couples change and there’s a lot of speed and fun! You don’t need a partner of your own but you need to know the basics of couple salsa. Ir you are new to rueda, come to both parts, if you have danced rueda before, you can come straight to the second part if your wish.

SALSA SWITCH – ROLES REVERSED! intensive course 13.00-16.00
Looking for a new challenge in your dancing?
Now followers get to experience dance from the leader’s perspective, and leaders have the chance to practice following – not only is it fun, it’s also incredibly useful!
• You’ll become a better and more confident dancer in your own role when you deepen your understanding of partner dancing from the opposite perspective as well.
• By learning both roles, you’ll never have to sit out a dance again: you can dance whenever you want, you’re not dependent on role balance, and you can even help improve it – which also supports others who are hoping to get on the dance floor.
• This course is for you if you already have some dance experience and want to grow into a more versatile dancer while enjoying the dance floor in a whole new way. Come try it out, learn, and have fun!

🟡 Dominican Couple Bachata for beginners from 13.00 to 14.30
Bachata is played at Latin parties, and nowadays you’ll hear it more and more at social dance venues as well.
In this course, you’ll learn the basic steps of this easy and romantic dance in a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere. You don’t need any previous experience – all you need is curiosity and a desire to move with the music.
The course is also perfect if you want to review the basics and gain new confidence in your dancing. Come enjoy the rhythms, the movement, and the good vibes.
You can come alone or with a partner; partner rotation is optional.
🔴 Cuban Couple Salsa for improvers from 14.30 to 16.00
Welcome if you have some previous experience – you’re comfortable with the basic steps and basic figures. Here you will learn new patterns, get tips for leading and following, and have some fun à la Roly! Come polish and deepen your dance skills. You can come alone or with a partner; partner rotation is optional.

You need to sign up no later than 5 days before the course. The course will be cancelled if there are not enough people who have signed up before the deadline.
You can pay in advance to the bank account of BailaMás, Myrskylän Säästöpankki Fi83 4210 0010 1168 10. Bring a copy of the payment to the course. You can also pay by MobilePay or in cash, but please try to have the exact amount with you.
If you cannot come, please cancel at least 3 days before the course so you don’t risk having to pay for the course.
